Living As One Announces Reliable, High-Quality 1080p Transmission to Facebook

Nov 25, 2019Press Releases

Westminster, CO – November 25, 2019 – Living As One, LLC today announced streaming from their Cloud Web Platform to Facebook in high-quality 1080p with stereo audio. The integration has already been enabled to over 150 Living As One users through a private beta and is now available to any organization.

Recent studies show that 27% of viewers will abandon an online stream after one buffering wheel, and 67% will have left by two. In order to build and maintain an online audience, it is critical to have a smooth, reliable stream. Living As One now brings network-resilient live streaming to Facebook, providing error-free video contribution to the social network despite the unpredictability of the public internet. While typical streaming would cause frame drops and other issues to occur, Living As One’s cloud requests the encoder to resend any lost data until it has a perfect copy and then pushes to the web and social channels resulting in a smooth and complete live streaming experience. On May 6, Living As One released YouTube Live streaming using this method, providing ultra-reliable, high-quality transmission to the video-sharing site, and now the same technology is available to stream reliably in 1080p to Facebook. Through this streaming technology, organizations have measured 70-90% fewer streaming complaints than with their previous providers.

“Video buffering and glitches create a bad viewer experience and are a major barrier to engagement,” said Alex Cvitanovic, Production Director at Church of the King, a large church outside New Orleans. “Living As One removed these barriers for us by providing a perfect, glitch-free stream that is immersive, high-quality, and incredibly easy to set up and automate. In fact, since we turned on streaming with Living As One, we haven’t had any streaming or buffering complaints from our viewers.”

Living As One’s Resilient Streaming Protocol provides stable, high-quality 1080p video transmission to Facebook even on inconsistent connections.

Automated Streaming With Recurring Scheduling

The Living As One Web Platform also provides simple control of streaming live events to multiple destinations such as YouTube and Facebook from one place with one scheduling tool. Streams to Facebook pages and groups may be started manually or scheduled along with existing Web Platform events. Broadcasters can also start streaming events to Facebook in an unpublished state and transition to published within Living As One’s control interface which includes a foolproof confidence return feed of the live video on Facebook.

“Living As One’s Web Platform has enabled organizations to take advantage of reliable, high-quality streaming in order to boost their online engagement, reduce streaming complaints, and increase viewer retention,” said Paul Martel, CEO, Living As One. “We are now excited to power the same level of resiliency to Facebook with exceptional 1080p resolution, providing an unmatched streaming experience to the social platform.”
